About Me

A self-taught artist, I only discovered my abilities and interest in art late in life.

I began my art journey with coloured pencils and have taught numerous classes in the Ottawa and Arnprior area in both coloured pencils and drawing. I have exhibited twice with the prestigious Colored Pencil Society of America in their juried shows in Detroit and Los Angeles.

My interests gradually expanded to include watercolour, acrylics, pen and ink, graphite and pastels. I am a great lover of urban sketching, and take any opportunities that arise to practise this particular form of plein air art.

My most recent works have been graphite and pen and ink. I enjoy the clean lines and clear definitions of both of these media and find the results, exciting when rendering old buildings, farm scenes and nature especially in the Ottawa Valley.
